Maro Petkovich, Jr.
Maro Petkovich, Jr. is a Louisiana attorney who offers his clients a full range of services. He has years of experience representing some of the nation’s largest companies. His experience representing various Fortune 500 companies as a former creditors’ rights and insurance defense attorney gives him the insight to effectively navigate claims and stay ahead of the curve.
Mr. Petkovich also brings a unique perspective to maritime law and longshore claims. Having been born in New Orleans and raised in Plaquemines Parish, he is no stranger to the water. The son of a Croatian immigrant, Mr. Petkovich grew up on the oyster boats of his father, grandfather, and uncle. He later worked in construction for oilfield services companies during his college years where he gained hands on experience aboard various vessels, drilling rigs, and production platforms. These experiences not only set the foundation for his lifelong love for the sea, but also led to an unparalleled knowledge of what can go wrong when you least expect it.
Mr. Petkovich is a devoted and loving father of two. In his spare time he enjoys following his beloved LSU Tigers, woodworking, outdoor activities, and maintaining ties to the Croatian-American community.
